About Me

Megan Brown is a professional dancer, Pilates instructor, dance educator, and choreographer from Hampton Roads. She holds a a Bachelor of Art in Dance and a minor in Exercise Science from Old Dominion University as well as a 600hr classical Pilates teaching certificate (3rd generation teacher) and a 200hr vinyasa yoga certification. Professionally, she has performed for Virginia Ballet Theatre and Todd Rosenlieb Dance.

Megan began her formal dance training at Bethel School of the Arts and continued her studies at Ballet Virginia International, Ballet Magnificat!, Colorado Youth Ballet, Virginia School of the Arts and Shenandoah Conservatory. She is a sought after teacher and choreographer, serving on faculty and as a freelance artist at many studios across Hampton Roads. She also teaches classical pilates (both mat and reformer) for Tidewater Performance. Megan has served for several summers as adjunct faculty for Newport News Public School, where she taught dance at Woodside High School’s Summer Institute for the Arts annually. She previously ran after school dance programs at multiple private elementary schools and designed a summer dance camp program for the Peninsula Family YMCA. In addition to teaching, Megan served as Associate Artistic Director of the Virginia Ballet Theatre Ensemble.
